Passing on the Know-How
In December 2024, Alexandre Martel acquired the business assets and patents for the Quartzophone® musical and therapeutic crystal instruments.
The inventor, Gaudry Normand, then passed on to him his secrets for crafting crystal harps and lyres with the most divine sounds.
Alexandre thus has the honor of continuing the mission of the Quartzophone instrument inventor: to manufacture and sell the highest quality quartz crystal instruments.

New Owner
For over two years, Alexandre Martel had been searching for a small-scale production business in an entirely different field—something unique. But fate redirected his attention to Quartzophone® instruments.
As a mechanical designer, Alexandre improves and develops mechanical systems. He was immediately captivated by the ingenuity and quality of these quartz crystal instruments and quickly understood what gives them their unique sound and resonance. What’s more, this market attracts truly wonderful people. It was an instant entrepreneurial spark. At the end of 2024, Alexandre acquired the rights to the Quartzophone® trademark to proudly carry on the legacy of Gaudry Normand.
Guided by deep gratitude, he continues the artisanal crafting of these extraordinary musical and therapeutic crystal instruments with love, great care, and precision—just as the charismatic inventor of the Quartzophone® taught him.

Inventor of the Quartzophone
The Quartzophone® crystal harp is the result of 12 years of research and development. This marvel is the creation of Quebec inventor Gaudry Normand. Over time, other models were born as well—lyre, solo, and duo. Gaudry also occasionally receives special requests: a musician wants to add more tubes; art lovers ask for tubes plated in gold or titanium. And he makes their wishes come true!
He handcrafts the Quartzophone® instruments with passion, finesse, and precision. They are one-of-a-kind in the world, as their mechanism, design, and mallets are patented. His instruments are sold in several countries.
Gaudry and his wife Pauline are also known as the owners of Mine Cristal, yoga and meditation teachers, Ayurvedic practitioners, and musicians (Pauline is trained in classical piano). Drawing from this rich life experience, Gaudry created musical instruments whose crystalline vibrations uplift the soul.
Upon retiring, he passed the torch of the Quartzophone instruments to Alexandre Martel.
